There is a lack of knowledge of the spirit in the church today.
That was one of the great problems that the 10 virgins had, 5 were not spiritual and they were left behind. If you think that doesn’t matter, you will have a tremendous problem when Jesus returns.
Most churches are skeptical of the things of the Spirit.
The world of the Spirit: What is above and beyond the visible. Beyond the laws of nature. A sphere of existence that transcends normality.
The Bible says we are a spirit, a soul and a body. The word is spirit.
How can a natural person understand something spiritual?
The spiritual world is never static.
Nothing on earth changes until things are changed in the spirit. If there is something that changed in your life, it was first changed in the spirit.
Nothing happens by chance. Behind that illness that torments you, there is a spirit. A person without a body. You must pray and get to the root of that spirit, discover it and cast it out.
The Bible says that before the foundation of the world you already existed. God brought you with a purpose you are a human being but before you were a spiritual being.
How to access that world above and beyond?
Without spiritual activity in a place nothing can happen. There must be atmosphere of worship where the Spirit is able to move freely and you must pray in tongues.

In the beginning, the earth had one language. But at the Tower of Babel different languages emerged. On Pentecost God came and brought a new language, not a natural one but a heavenly language.
Speaking in tongues:
It is a supernatural ability to speak a language that you do not know nor have studied. It is a spiritual and supernatural phenomenon. You’ll never understand it. You cannot learn this in a school, it is given by the spirit. Above the jurisdiction of reason. But the Holy Spirit gives you the understanding.
“For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.” – 1 Corinthians 14:14-15
Three different types of languages:
Languages of men. Everyone at Pentecost spoke the same language.
Languages of angels. These languages are full of angelic activity. You put angels to work when you speak in tongues.
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.” – 1 Corinthians 13:1
Unknown languages. These are those that speak mysteries. To pray with them, you must always go beyond the language you know.
The Holy Spirit makes those mysteries known to you. Revelation goes beyond reason. God reveals it to you first. Until you know what speaking in tongues can do, you will not speak them.
What happens when you pray in tongues?
It builds you spiritually. The word edify means: to improve intellectually. Your brain will return to its original state. That is the renewal of the mind.
“He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” – 1 Corinthians 14:4
It changes/creates atmospheres where the Spirit can move.
Increase spiritual perception.
Edifies your spirit to exercise power and unleash power.
People who pray in tongues have great virtue, power and are carriers of the presence. They have faith to exercise power. The atmosphere changes when you kneel and pray.
When the atmosphere is at a standstill, begin to pray in tongues. When you are going to prophesy in an atmosphere of faith, a raw faith; you will see a difference. The atmosphere has to be full of worship and prayer. Just as a fish requires water, faith requires an atmosphere. When there is no spiritual atmosphere, the manifestation is limited. A few would receive healing, but when the atmosphere is saturated, when it is built, the power is unleashed.
How are these tongues received?
For any gift of the spirit you need cooperation from your side, you have to speak. He gives you the languages, but you are the one who will speak them. Submit to the Holy Spirit.
Prayer in the Spirit is the revelation of His presence, it is the acceleration of power.
